IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE TAKING THE EXAM
The DEC Institute has partnered with Pearson VUE, the global leader in the administration of rigorous testing for professional certifications, for delivering the Level 1 and Level 2 exams in one of Pearson VUE’s about 25´000 test centres worldwide or Pearson´s OnVUE live proctered solution. The online and in-person exam centres have a very strict test-taking protocol, so please ensure you are prepared by reading the examination procedure and terms & conditions carefully. Non-compliance with the protocol requirements can lead to you missing and not passing the certification exam.

The DEC Institute offers fours types of exam, the CBA Level 1 & 2 and CDAA Level 1 & 2 . A summary of relevant information on these examinations are presented in the tables below.
1. I confirm that I have read the factsheet,syllabus, and study booklet, know the exam's scope, and have prepared by taking the edX MOOC and studying the preparation material.
2. I acknowledge that the completion of the edX MOOC doesn´t allow me to use the CBA® or CDAA® designations on my resume, as it is only a preparatory course.
3. I confirm that I understand that the mandatory reading materials and practice questions of the study booklets provided are necessary to obtain a positive exam result.
4. I understand that the Level 1 exam consists of 75 questions to be completed in 60 minutes.
5. I acknowledge that each question has three options, and only one is correct.
6. I understand that for each question, I should pick the best option (that is most accurate or correct) as some options may be partially correct.
7. I acknowledge that some questions generally use well-known abbreviations used in the blockchain and digital asset industry and that as part of my preparation or work experience, I am expected to be familiar with these.
8. I understand that some questions may be made more complex by how they are written and worded. I should endeavour to read all the questions and options in detail not to make easy mistakes.
9. I understand that a good pace for answering exam questions is to spend approximately slightly less than one minute per question.

1. For sceduling the exam appointment, you are required to entrol in the CBA® or CDAA® exam on the DEC webshop and access the Pearson VUE sceduling tool through your DEC dashboard.
2. You can choose between taking the exam online with Pearson´s OnVUE live proctered solution, or at one of Pearson´s 25'000 test centres worldwide.
3. Read Pearson´s test requirements protocol carefully, as non-compliance can lead to you missing or not passing the exam.

4. I acknowledge that I should thoroughly read the vignette that accompanies the multiple-choice questions as the questions relate to this vignette. I will require information from this vignette to answer the questions.

Passing the CDAA® or CBA® Program shows your commitment to a higher standard, and earning a DEC designation signals that you belong to an elite group of professionals. Naturally, you want to call attention to your achievements on your resume. DEC Institute encourages all charterholders to include their designations on their resumes in accordance with the General Terms & Conditions. If you are an active charterholder in good standing, you can:
A) Include your designation after your name in the following way:
